What is Coaching?
What does it have to do with Church?

Every decision we make is based on our faith.  Period.  What faith or belief we lean on might depend on the subject.  Sometimes, you will be making decisions that get you towards what you believe.   As you try to change, develop new habits or break others, or even look to new horizons, your faith, thus spiritual leaders ,are invaluable in the dreaming or in the decisions that are made.   The church is where we should go for leadership through this world.

If we chase what the world offers we will get what the world gives.  If we live in this world but realize God is in control and we are willing to take leadership from Him we will get what He gives.  Which one do you want?

Let's take a look at some other services to see clearly what coaching is.

First, you can hire a consultant.  This is a great idea.  You get an expert who evaluates your situation, looks at solutions, and then, while they work with you, they come up with a plan of attack.  Usually, no matter how complex the answer is, they do a great job laying it all out in an easy execution plan.  You might personally have a financial advisor, a business coach, or a health coach.  Even though the word coach is used they tend to be more of a consultant using facts and research to back their claims and ideas.

Next, we have the therapist.  Relationship, feeling down at work, maybe lost in the world.  There is a vast amount of excellent experts out there who are trained in the most up-to-date techniques and information.  What they can do is demonstrate, straight to you, past hurts or situations that have created tools and strategies within you.  Many are good, but when you are doing something that stands in your way, they can help you battle it with systems and theories.

We cannot say enough how much we value these professionals.  In fact, we have both on staff when their services would best suit you. Each one of us has used both with great success.  Why coaching then?

Unlike a consultant, whose answer comes from other people's experience, past projects, research, etc., or a therapist who uncovers the past and then looks to heal so you can be fresh to take on life's challenges, coaching helps you find the answer with you!  You have the answer!!!  It just isn’t clear.  Sometimes it isn't good to have others tell us what to do, and at other times, going into the past creates work that doesn't necessarily have to be dealt with now.  We also lean heavily on your individual values and faith as we navigate a new path with you.

Coaching empowers you to uncover the answers within, so you can gain clear direction and confidently eliminate chaos and confusion.

So the question becomes: are you struggling to define goals, overcome fear, and maintain motivation? Are you seeking clarity, purpose, and resilience amid change? Have you tried it on your own, yet you keep coming back to the same place?  Is there a question(s) that is stopping you, your relationships, or your business from flourishing?

If so, allow someone to walk with you as you grow in understanding, courage, and conviction to move forward.  Reach out to us today!

We could talk all day about the science behind coaching and the art of a skillful coach, but for now here are some other ways coaching can be used...

Find Direction and Peace

Traveling through the unknown is challenging. Change is hard and frightening, often leading us to wonder how we can move forward or worry that we might repeat past mistakes. These are legitimate and rational thoughts, but they don't have to control us. Building strength to move forward, no matter what happens, is possible.

Experience the sensation of Freeing Choice

We do this through self-awareness and understanding of worth.  Often, our biggest problem with change is our own uncertainty. We're unsure of our talents and skills, and we fear the risks of moving forward. However, once we understand what we're capable of and what we excel at, it becomes easier to embrace the things in life that bring us joy and reject the things that drain us, without guilt or shame. This self-awareness allows us to make wise and meaningful decisions with confidence.

Repair and Strengthen Relationships

With stress and uncertainty, we often develop new behaviors, sometimes taking them to extremes. We may cling to work, focus solely on financial status, or turn to unhealthy habits like drug and alcohol abuse, overeating, or other vices. To move forward, we need to adopt a recovery lifestyle. This means repairing and strengthening our relationships with others, ourselves, and God. This path leads to a healthier, more fulfilling, and balanced life.
