(not The)  Church Reimagined and Done Differently

What if church wasn’t confined to a building or a schedule? What if it wasn’t about attendance, but connection? What if we gathered multiple times throughout the week, around a table to share meals and grow spiritually as a community?

People often struggle to find deep, trustworthy relationships and a place where they can connect with others. We chase meaningless desires and sometimes harmful behaviors and/or lifestyles to fill the void in our souls. Even the faithful are grappling with these challenges, often feeling lonely and disconnected despite their faith.

Reconnecting with God, Ourselves, and Others

Community: Regular gatherings foster genuine relationships. Intimate relationships form as individuals and families meet consistently. A larger community emerges with less frequent gatherings, such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.

Formation: Spiritual practices and guided discussions transform lives. Through pastors and leaders, the community learns, practices, and grows with consistent spiritual discipleship, focusing on attributes such as scripture, silence, generosity, prayer, and more.

Simplicity: An intentional focus on what truly matters. While supporting liturgical aspects, practices vary from gathering to gathering. Instead of insisting on specific service aspects, a unique focus is placed on different liturgical aspects at each gathering.

What It Looks Like

A Shared Meal: The gathering begins with a meal. Perhaps a restaurant so the establishment will provide the food. Or it could be a potluck-style dinner, where everyone contributes and sits together. This meal becomes a sacred space for connection and gratitude. The meal breaks down barriers to connection.  When was the last time you had a place that fosters connection?

Guided Reflection with Scripture lesson: After dinner, a time of scripture, reflection, or spiritual practice invites everyone to engage deeply with our faith. This might include contemplative prayer, storytelling, or exploring how to live out the teachings of Jesus.  What does you daily life look like and how do spiritual disciplines fit into your day?

Open Conversation: In a spirit of vulnerability and authenticity, the group discusses the evening’s focus, sharing insights and supporting one another.  Do you have people in your life you are connected with that you know have a similar value system to you that you can be honest and transparent with?

At The Well IS NOT about replacing Sunday services; it’s about rediscovering the heart of faith in a similar yet different way. It creates a space where:

    • Loneliness fades
    • Spiritual growth becomes tangible and transformative
    • Faith is deeply integrated into daily life
    • Relationships flourish

We are a countercultural church movement designed for the spiritually curious, disillusioned, and hungry. It is built on a foundation of honesty, deep formation, and courageous faith while being rooted in biblical truth and time-tested principles of spiritual growth. Our strategy is built on being rooted in Scripture without religious stigma.  A hybrid approach to digital and physical community-building with Leadership training to multiply disciple-makers.  And to top it off a worship culture that is relational, liturgical, and centered around storytelling and communion.

We follow the tenets and polity of ECO Presbyterians, officially known as:

ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians

The ECO Presbyterian denomination emphasizes strengthening local church ecosystems. ECO is characterized by its commitment to:

Evangelical: advancing the gospel and planting new churches. ECO also values the "livable theology," where faith is applied and lived out in daily life.

Covenant: fostering accountable relationships and collaboration among leaders.

Order: uniting around a shared theological core and way of life.

ALL (and we mean ALL) are welcome!
